About the Air Weather Reconnaissance Association

Who are we?  The Air Weather Reconnaissance Association is incorporated as a non-profit mutual benefit organization under the laws of the State of California.  It is a Veteran's organization as defined by Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)19 and Treasury Regulations 1.501(c)(19)-1.

Membership in the Association is open to all current and former members of the US Armed Services who served in the US Army Air Force, and/or US Air Force, or who now serve in the US Air Force, in the capacity of aircrew members and military and civilian support personnel in organizations performing aerial weather reconnaissance and related missions.

Life Membership is $30.00 and annual dues are $15.00 per year.   No membership dues are required of surviving spouses of reconnaissance veterans.

To join, download and print the membership application (PDF document), fill it out completely and mail, along with check or money order in the appropriate amount, to the AWRA Membership Chairman as indicated on the application form.  You will receive confirmation by mail or E-mail as soon as your application is processed.

AWRA publishes a newsletter at least annually.  It normally will arrive in April or May to insure that everyone gets the latest information about the Association and the next reunion of members.  AWRA also publishes a membership roster for the private, non-commercial, use of our members.  The current roster is sent to all new members and updated versions will be sent to the entire membership as appropriate.
